Both HydraFacial and chemical peels leave skin looking brighter, which is why people often ask for one when they would be better served by the other. The difference comes down to what you are trying to change.
What a HydraFacial does
A HydraFacial is a deep cleanse. It uses a gentle vortex tip to clear congestion, lightly exfoliate and push hydration back into the skin. There is no downtime, which makes it a sensible choice before an event or as regular maintenance for dull, tired or dehydrated skin.
What a chemical peel does
A peel is a controlled exfoliation using acids matched to your skin type and concern. It works deeper than a HydraFacial, so it is the better option for uneven tone, early pigmentation, fine lines and textured skin. Expect a few days of light flaking with medium-depth peels.
How we choose
- Dull, dehydrated or congested skin — HydraFacial.
- Pigmentation, fine lines or rough texture — a course of peels.
- Both — many clients alternate the two across a year.
Neither is prescribed without seeing your skin first. If you are unsure, book a consultation and we will examine your skin and recommend what fits.
